Having established that these aims were both theoretically and technically possible, the consortium members took a step toward building the system, to enable ‘on-chain’ payment, by investing in the creation of Fnality International (Fnality).

In May 2016, she was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Group. Olga Zoutendijk was the first woman to lead a Supervisory Board of a stock exchange listed company in the history of the Netherlands. She joined the Board of Governors of Leiden University, one of the leading international research universities in Europe, in June 2016. In April 2019, she was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Julius Baer Group, the Swiss-based international wealth management group.

Daniel is an expert in financial sector regulation and financial stability. He held various senior positions at the Swiss National Bank (SNB), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As a visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) in Washington he published widely on the impact of blockchain based financial innovation and how it should be regulated. He received a PhD degree in Economics from University of Bern and was a research fellow at Stanford University.
